How to play

Score higher
Play basic strategy
The basic strategy chart gives the right play for every hand. This dealer stands on soft 17, so three plays change: hit 11 against an ace, and stand on soft 18 against a 2 and on soft 19 against a 6. Keep the chart in your Apple or Google Wallet with the free Blackjack Cheat Sheet.
Count the shoe
Keep a Hi-Lo count as the cards come out and watch the discard tray to see how many decks are gone. Bet big when the true count is high and small when it is low. That is how a High Score is built. Start with the card counting guide, then learn the index plays.

Is this blackjack game free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser with play money. No download, no sign-up and nothing to buy.
Can I win real money?
No. Every chip is play money. There is nothing to buy and nothing to cash out.
How does the High Score work?
Each High Score game is one 6-deck shoe that starts with $10,000. When the cut card comes out, the hand in play finishes and your bankroll is your score. Make the top 10 and your three initials go on the board. If your bankroll drops under the $100 table minimum, the game is over with no score.
How many High Score games can I play?
50 a day. The panel shows how many you have left, and the count starts over at midnight Pacific time. The limit keeps the board fair: nobody can play thousands of shoes and keep only the luckiest one. Practice has no limit.
Are the cards random?
Yes. Every shoe is six full decks shuffled on our server with a cryptographic random number generator, and cards come off the top in order. The next card is never sent to your browser before it is dealt, so nobody can see it coming.
Can I count cards in this game?
Yes. It deals a real shoe down to the cut card, and the discard tray shows how much of the shoe is gone, so you can turn your running count into a true count the same way you would at a casino table.
